Crushed black cherries swim in melted milk chocolate. Its dense mouthfeel is freed from being jammy thanks to a bright, sun-kissed acidity. A hint of thyme and candied violets are a lovely treat that sets this red apart.
Belle Glos Dairyman Vineyard Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2024
94 Points, Tasting PanelÂ
This is a really exciting new release in the collection of single-vineyards from the Wagner Family, and arguably the most interesting one of the bunch. This is the only Pinot Noir in the Caymus collection that has the advantage of being from a natural Pinot Noir haven in the Russian River Valley. Dairyman Vineyard’s proximity to the Pacific ocean, with its morning fog and afternoon coastal breezes allows for an even and elongated growing season, with super concentrated and expressive grape clusters that help make this Dijon clone Pinot Noir one that you need. Tasting Panel came in with a big-time 94-point review, declaring that “A hint of thyme and candied violets are a lovely treat that sets this red apart.”

MORE INFO
Owner/winemaker, Joe Wagner chose the name Belle Glos to honor his grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner. Lorna was a co-founder of Caymus Vineyards along with her son Chuck and was an inspirational figure to Joe and an avid lover of Pinot Noir.
Though she wasn’t around to see her grandson’s Pinot Noir project, there’s little doubt she would’ve loved the timeless terroir-driven classics that Joe and team cook up each vintage. The only Dijon clone Pinot Noir and the only Pinot that comes from the world-famous Russian River Valley is the Dairyman Vineyard PN bottling.
Dairyman Vineyard’s proximity to the pacific ocean, with its morning fog and afternoon coastal breezes allows for an even and elongated growing season, with super concentrated and expressive grape clusters and a great natural acidity. You’re never going to guess where this vineyard got it’s name– oh, no you’re right. It came from the old dairy farm that was at the site of where today’s vines are planted.
