Exclusively picked by Nicholas in a trip down to the distillery in Kentucky- this is the only private label Buffalo Trace single barrel sold in New Jersey. On the palate it is sweet with notes of brown sugar and fall spice that give way to oak, toffee, and dark fruit. The finish is long and smooth with serious depth.
From an unbelievable Burgundian estate comes the 2016 Camille Giroud Gevry-Chambertin. It is a brilliant wine– dark ruby color to its core, with an expressive, complex nose that just blasts from the glass. High-toned and intensely fruity with an undercurrent of earthy goodness, its finish is long and stony, a classic Gevrey-Chambertin.
This incredible effort from Clos L’Eglise is a bordeaux blend comprised of 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. It comes from the Right Bank Pomerol appellation. Winemaker and Proprietor Hélène Garcin produced one of her best efforts ever– a big, lavish, intricately woven wine that will continue to develop for years to come.
This domaine was my favorite of the white burgundy domaines at Jean Georges. Referts might as well be a Grand Cru in my book. Its old vines, rooted in a sheer slab of limestone, produce epic wines of finesse, length and power that will wow at any table next Saturday night and every other for at least the next decade.
Not Eligible for Futher Discount– I believe you can’t have enough ‘every-day’ Italian wines in your arsenal. They’re delicious on their own but even more so versatile and food friendly. The six wines we’ve put together here are essential Tuesday-Saturday night gems, four reds and two whites that mesh perfectly with everything from ‘Thursday Night Football’ to ‘Real Housewives’.
A Restaurant Nicholas customer favorite! Seamlessly woven in black cherry and cocoa, Frank Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 is sumptuous and seductive in structure and complexity. The palate offers flavors of hazelnut, baked plum, and cloves while brilliant acidity on the finish balances the concentration of flavors and tannins.
Not Eligible for Futher Discount– This exclusive Herradura Nicholas Reserve Double Barrel is truly amazing. The extra wood and aging give it a rich amber color with notes of vanilla and butter on the nose. The palate features hints of vanilla, orange peel, cocoa nib and roasted coffee bean. Perfect neat but versatile enough for the cocktail shaker.
I’d say our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 3-pack falls under the “never realized you needed” category. Could you live without a 3 bottle selection of artisanal Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons from three unique growing areas? Probably, but why would you want to miss these three knockout selections packaged in a box and ready to be placed under the tree?
Every month, Nicholas Wines will ship two wines hand-selected by Nicholas Harary. Discover a new region, variety, or style! This is the perfect gift for both introductory and expert wine lovers!
Not Eligible for Further DiscountThe Nicholas Barrel Reserve Roca Patron is a complex tequila that uses the rare tahona method. The taste is incredible- a bit of bourbon barrel gives way to nuanced notes of citrus, black pepper, and a little tease of ginger. This is the perfect stocking stuffer for the tequila lover on your list.
Not Eligible for Further Discount Our fastest selling liquor! The Nicholas Barrel Old Forester Reserve 90 proof bourbon is super smooth with a long lingering finish with no bite. Handpicked from Warehouse B on the 4th floor, it’s packed with caramel, roasted pineapple, vanilla with just a very small hint of fall spice. Only 240 bottles produced.
