Winemaker Alessandro Castellani’s 2013 Amarone is a big wine for sure, massive even. But it is the rare Amarone that is aromatically complex, with intense aromas of blackberries, anise and Asian spices. It’s wine for the table, a powerful, blockbuster of a wine, loaded with dark berries with a touch of bitter dark chocolate.
The flagship wine at Caymus Vineyards and one of the premier American Cabernet Sauvignon bottles in the marketplace: the Special Selection Cab. We were hoping to get our hands on a few cases, but they were only able to give us seven bottles. A ‘special’ price today for a wine that most people spend years on the sidelines waiting to get their hands on. Don’t miss out!

Calling all collectors! Considered by some to be the best vintage of Bordeaux of the past three decades. Ideal dry and long growing conditions in the Left Bank allowed for beautifully balanced wines, with the Lascombes a perfect example of a modern style. Parker called it, “pure, seamless, full-bodied and opulent” and suggested it had another decade plus of prime aging.

Direct from the Chateau Lascombes’s (2nd Growth) Cellar, we have a library vintage of legendary character and depth. Wine Spectator’s 99-pt 2010 in Left Bank saw some of the finest Margaux ever produced. This Second-Growth is an absolute classic, Rober Parker, Jr. called Lascombes’ 2010, “the greatest Lascombes made to date” and called it “One of the great Margaux wines of the vintage.”

This domaine was my favorite of the white burgundy domaines at Jean Georges. Referts might as well be a Grand Cru in my book. Its old vines, rooted in a sheer slab of limestone, produce epic wines of finesse, length and power that will wow at any table next Saturday night and every other for at least the next decade.
The 2015 Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc is a gem. Chuck Wagner’s (Caymus!) daughter Jenny crafted a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc off two Caymus owned vineyard sites in Napa that give off the Marlborough-like nose of tropical and citrus fruits that is both delicate and well-balanced. It’s incredibly bright, lively and crisp especially considering it has some age.

A monumental wine with an enormous score to match. “This high elevation Sonoma County Chardonnay offers the broadest, fattest fruit profile of Peter Michael’s four single-vineyard Chardonnays, with clean citrus notes, exotic lychee and signature wet stone-like minerality.”

The Peter Michael “La Carriere” 2017 is a tightly wound, charged up wine that takes time to unravel in the glass. It is loaded with aromas and flavors of citrus rind, white flowers, green apple and pear with a distinctive sense of minerality that flows throughout the wine.
