This is the first of its kind from one of Whiskey’s most revered names: Willett. You wouldn’t believe it, but this is actually a beautiful and seamless blend of two different 110-barrel entry proof barrels with fairly different rye mash bills. One is 3/4 Rye with 15% Barley and the rest Corn, the other is 1/2 Rye with 34% Corn and 13% Barley.
I love this because it’s so distinctly different than its sibling, the ‘Purple Top’ 4-Year Bourbon. This has all the characteristics you’re looking for in a special Rye: it’s super smooth and spicy, with so many waves of aromas and flavors and an incredible dill finish that stays with you forever in the best way.
