When my yearly allocation came in for W.L. Weller, I was pleased to find out that I was granted a few ‘bonus bottles’ by the powers that be. Hey, you know I’m not arguing. I only got a few more the Single Barrel, 12-Year and the Antique so I decided to put those into 3-packs and sell those as well. Get in while you can, I only have three. Each 3-pack sampler includes 1 bottle each of the following:
Weller Single Barrel (orange)
Weller 12 year (black)
Old Weller Antique (red)

#1 Whiskey of the Year, 2018 -Whiskey Advocate
“Notably balanced and elegant, the colorful palette of whiskies combines for tremendous depth of flavor. Soft, sweet butterscotch and orange peel meet poached pears and stone fruits. Earthiness appears as dried autumn leaves, coffee, old oak, and tobacco. Among the tangle of spices, tasters identified chili pepper, allspice, cloves, and universally adored its ginger note. Finally, wisps of smoke and sea salt. Overall, it feels generously malty, with the grain whisky lending broad sweetness and supple mouthfeel across the long finish. Beyond its delightful flavors, Nikka From the Barrel presents some paradoxes worthy of contemplation over a glass. It is a classic, yet new to the U.S. It is typically Japanese, yet singularly magnificent. It is delightful sipped neat and also blossoms with water. Even the simple, squat bottle is in contrast to the profound complexity within. The great majority of new Japanese whiskies now arriving to our shores are so rare and so expensive that they seem intended only for elite whisky lovers. Nikka From the Barrel is a consummate Japanese blend for anyone to enjoy. “
This is my sixth private barrel with Knob Creek overall (my fifth 10-year, 120-Proof Single Barrel) and I am consistently blown away by the ratio of quality to value here. It barely makes any sense. Nobody else comes close.
Our special relationship with the red-hot Wyoming Whiskey has given us some incredible opportunities. We had a ‘Steamboat’ Whiskey that was previously only for the state of Wyoming as well as our own private barrel. Now, we’ve got their super limited production of Outryder Rye. It’s not a bourbon. It’s not a true rye. The result is a incredibly unique spirit that’s great for sipping or making cocktails. This Straight American Whiskey is a blend of two distinct mashbills, an almost Rye Whiskey and a High Rye Bourbon, that represents Wyoming Whiskey’s first use of Rye.
This is one of the greatest aged spirits made by The Dalmore (or anyone) and it’s a crazy rare and special expression. Only 500 bottles in total were made!! It’s created using some of the distillery’s most exquisite casks. Initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, the whisky then moves to Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. It is transferred back into Bourbon barrels before a flourish in 20-year-old Tawny Port pipes. The juice is then married with vanishingly rare stocks and finished in aged Port Colheita pipes. A 45-year process that ends in one of the all-time great Whisky collectors items.
