Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Batch 25C (125.6 Proof)

This is a beauty courtesy of one of the oldest, most prestigious and hottest distilleries anywhere. This baby is brand spanking new and we are the first ones to receive it. Let me welcome you to the new high proof batch release of 2025 from the good folks at George T. Stagg. This is the first release of the year.

These Stagg Jr. releases have absolutely exploded in popularity over the past few years, behind incredible quality, super high demand and not close to enough supply.

I have the newest release in the Stagg Jr. universe, Batch 25C, and though I’m one of the first in the country to score this bottle, rumblings are that this is the best batch of the year. There’s lots of wonderful dried fruit mixed with some molasses, fresh baked brown bread, orange peel and a whole lot more. It’s incredibly robust and flavorful with wonderful complexity. This is one big boy that checks in at 125.6 Proof (62.8% alc.), though it’s actually a little bit lighter in alcohol than some of its predecessors. It’s slightly more elegant and restrained than some of the previous bottlings, and incredibly smooth and pure. It’s a beauty for sure!
