Redbreast Single Pot Still Missouri Oak Edition

Category

Redbreast has a rich tradition in Ireland of over 100 years. The single pot still Irish whiskey brand made by Irish Distillers has always showed a more refined, premium style of Irish Whiskey. Currently, they have six different bottlings: the 12 Year Old, 12 Cask Strength, 15 Year Old, 21 Year Old, Lustau Edition (matured for its final year in Bodegas Lustau sherry casks) and as of the pandemic, a 27 Year Old Edition as well. But… this is a very limited U.S. only release and it remains to be seen if it will be a one-time thing or not.

The Redbreast Missouri Oak Edition is a single-pot still Irish Whiskey that’s triple distilled, and matured first in American bourbon barrels and Spanish oloroso sherry butts, before being re-casked and aged for 10 months in virgin casks made from oak sourced from the Ozark forests of Missouri.

Original price was: $225.00.Current price is: $165.00.

This is the first release of its kind and was just announced last week. I snagged six bottles as soon as I could. It’s a U.S. only release, and it remains to be seen if there will be others. The Redbreast Kentucky Oak Edition is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in American Bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts. Then it’s finished for a minimum of 4 months in hand selected, air-dried American Oak from the Taylor family farm in Kentucky.
