Red Schooner ‘Voyage 11’ by Caymus

Categories , ,

The newest Voyage from the Wagner family has arrived (after we were skipped over last year) and I can report that it’s another fantastic rendition of a wine that is making quite a name for itself. This one was worth the wait. It’s classic Caymus style– big, juicy and fruit forward and perfect dinner company for grilled meat.

With some of the best Malbec grapes from the highest appellations of the Andes Mountains, the Wagner family brings the fruit back to their state of the art facility in Napa and then finish it in the same style as their flagship Special Selection Cabernet (that runs for $195/btl).  That’s probably why this wine is of the “no-brainer” variety.

I don’t quite know what makes these wines so popular, but getting the Voyage from the Wagners hasn’t been an easy task. In fact, the 15 cases I just got are the only ones that were available. Consider this an early New Years gift from the Wagners.

Original price was: $55.00.Current price is: $45.00.
