Petterino owns just 2½ hectares of vineyards amongst just seven parcels, but the location of each parcel is what helps set this tiny winery apart. At this tiny little boutique winery, home to some of the absolute top parcels of Gattinara’s top cru vineyards, is where some of the best Nebbiolo is made. Anywhere.
With such miniscule amounts of wine produced each year, this micro-winery can’t afford to have these precious bottles snatched up and consumed too early. There’s no marketing department and no expert reviews. They rely completely on their reputation among an exclusive group of some of the world’s foremost tastemakers.
It’s a luxury that most winery’s can’t afford– but when your wine is exceptional enough that it easily rolls its way into Thomas Keller’s Michelin-starred NYC hotspot upon (belated) release, and never has to rely on expert reviews, you get to play by a wholly separate set of rules.
The result of waiting on this wine is undoubtedly making all the difference, with this 9-year old Nebbiolo from arguably the greatest ever Piedmont vintage completely roaring out of the gates. It shows so much life and exudes an invigorating nose that lights up with wild berries, a hint of sage and baking spice. This one spent 3 years in oak, and then six years carefully aging, so every edge is rounded, and it’s cut to perfection.

This is a very, very special library offer from our friends at Val di Suga and is also a very limited one. There are only a few of these amazing six-pack collector’s boxes for sale. Two bottles each from Val di Suga’s three single vineyard sites. Val di Suga is the only Brunello producer that controls three separate estate vineyards located in three specific climate zones in the appellation. Each vineyard site has its own unique exposure and geo-climatic features which expresses itself in every bottle. Not to be missed. *Original wooden boxes come included.*
Chad’s 2020 McKinley Springs Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is drop dead gorgeous and actually makes zero sense at all at this price. Dark purple to the rim with aromas of black fruits, violets, creme de cassis and a hint of spice. On the palate, full-bodied, round and juicy with elegance and the gorgeous, pure fruit– red and black currants, blackberries and a touch of sweet tobacco. It’s a delicious bottle of Cab.
96 Points, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 96 Points, Vinous – 96 Points,
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is sublime. Bright and savory, with tons of energy, the 2019 captures all the personality of this tiny vineyard on Diamond Mountain. Dried rose petal, lavender, red plum, graphite and crushed rocks add layers of nuance to this mid-weight, classically built Cabernet from Dyer. In a word; superb.”
100 Points (Bordeaux of the Vintage), Decanter
99 Points, James Suckling – 98 Points (Cellar Selection), Wine Enthusiast – 98 Points, Vinous
Here it is – the perfect 100-point Troplong Mondot. It was one of only 5 wines(!) in the 2020 vintage to receive a perfect score from Decanter – joining the likes of Mouton Rothschild, Petrus, Chateau LC Haut-Brion and Trotanoy as the only 100-pointers. They weren’t alone in their lavish praise for this incredible bottling. Galloni called it “wonderfully exuberant right out the gate” and with “tremendous breadth and power” in his 98-point review. Wine Enthusiast also gave it a 98 with a ‘Cellar Selection’ designate and called the wine, “powerful and dense”.
