High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 13 Scene 1

If you’ve heard of High West, it’s probably due to their cult limited release series the ‘Midwinter Night’s Dram’ releases. Inspired by the playwright William Shakespeare, the MND’s come in Acts and Scenes and tell different tales through blending that people line up from all over the world to secure. Having tasted more than a few of these, they never disappoint.

This is a super limited whiskey release that blends a few different rye whiskeys together and finishes them in ex-Port barrels. The rye forms a beautiful base of vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon while the port barrels provide notes of plum, dried fruit, and spice. In fact, from what I’ve been hearing, this has the coveted spicier notes that fans love about this release that some feel have been missing of late. This one once checks in at 98.6 Proof (49.3% alc.). It is an absolute beauty!
