The famous winery is sometimes overshadowed by its direct neighbor, Caymus Vineyards.. but vintages like 2017 show why people might want to rethink their Cabernet priorities.

In an extremely hectic year in Napa Valley that saw fire damage wineries and ruin entire crops, Frog’s Leap was one of the lucky ones that came out the other end completely unscathed. Oddly enough, some folks including Antonio Galloni think that in the colder 2017 vintage, Frog’s Leap’s Rutherford Cabernet is even better than usual, maybe one of their best Rutherford Estate Cabs to date.
