Don Fulano Anejo Tequila

Category

“Aged in a mix of casks that previously held Burgundy, Bordeaux and Loire Valley wines, this complex Tequila is one to savor. Bell pepper and jalapeno aromas mingle with mild honey and cinnamon sweetness. The plush palate echoes that sweetness and spice, leading into a long finish tinged with cocoa and vanilla, plus a final zing of jalapeno heat.” -Wine Enthusiast

This one is just dripping with sophistication and class. It takes all of about two seconds to see how it could’ve picked up such a high ratings. It’s a marriage of very old tequilas that were aged in special French oak and Nevers oak casks that previously held Burgundian and Bordeaux wines. It’s so pure and elegant with a depth and complexity that just about every Añejo I’ve had before fails to reach. It’s got some banana bread flavors, with cardamom and allspice and pecan pie flavors. This one sees a minimum of 30 months of maturation. As the Fonsecas always say, the greatest finished products require a lot of patience.

Original price was: $95.00.Current price is: $85.00.

A tempting nose delivers dark wine and a touch of florality before an essence of smoky bonfire unfurls. Rich sugar and spices dance over deep wood with notes of pineapple and orange leading into a complex, roasted agave finish. Sumptuous.
