What an absolutely sensational Rose from Marche in the north. This isn’t where you would think of for fresh, vibrant, perfumed Rose, but this one, in this vintage has all of it in spades. It beautifully balances bright red berry fruit with candied citrus and some salty minerality. Such a delicious, food-friendly wine. A perfect partner for pizza nights or to enjoy by the pool or the beach.

De Angelis’ Marche Rosato is a racy 50% Montepulciano, 50% Sangiovese blend from the estate’s sprawling vineyards in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The juice is immediately drained after crushing and malolactic is avoided, allowing for a light-colored and zippy rosato with lots of citrus notes. It’s zippy, elegant and fresh and also certified organic. It’s such a winner – I think it’s going to be a huge hit.
