Cristom Vineyards stands as a pioneering force in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, establishing a reputation for producing some of the New World’s most elegant and terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Founded in 1992 by Paul and Eileen Gerrie, they’ve been one of the very best in the state for at least the last two decades.
The winery’s philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief in whole-cluster fermentation — a traditional Burgundian technique where entire grape bunches (stems included) are fermented together. This is crucial to their style, lending the wines a distinctive savory, earthy complexity, with a subtle spice component, and a firm structural backbone. They utilize four primary estate vineyards — Eileen, Jessie, Marjorie, and Louise—each named for a Gerrie family matriarch and each expresses a unique microclimate and soil profile within the Eola-Amity Hills AVA.
