Wines of the Year, Wine Enthusiast
“A purple-colored, young wine dominated by Merlot, this is rich, structured and full of blackberries. With a good balance between the fruit and the tannins already in place, it shows excellent potential. Drink this already delicious but still firm wine from 2022”
Chateau Brulesecaille Cotes de Bourg 2016
Chateau Brulesecaille is a beautiful estate that sits in the heart of the Cotes de Bourg region on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Their focus is mainly on the three major grapes, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with a small portion of their plantings also focused on Malbec.
Brulesecaille is actually one of the day 1 Restaurant Nicholas wines I had on the menu – for me it’s a can’t miss. The wines here are always benchmark Cotes de Bourg wines, with a lot of value on display especially in fabulous vintages like 2016
