Chad managed to squirrel away four barrels of prime Cabernet fruit that turned into something spectacular. It’s such a brooding and beautiful wine. Full-bodied and dark-fruited, it presents a big medley of juicy red and black fruits followed by a touch of crème de cassis, fresh tobacco, and dark chocolate. It’s been so long since we had a Chad Cab Sauv that some of you have been busting my chops about Chad turning into a Pinot Noir brand! The truth is that man’s roots are and always will be in Cabernet country, having grown up amongst the vines in Napa’s famous Mt. Veeder AVA.
