93 Points, James Suckling

This is a gorgeous mountain-fruited white wine from one of the northernmost areas in the entire country. The super steep slopes at thousands of feet above sea level create the perfect conditions for cool-climate, intense, pure-fruited Sauvignon Blanc and Cantina Valle Isarco’s 2024 bottling is as good as it gets. 93 points from James Suckling who called it “complex” and “tight yet balanced” with “a zesty finish”. Hard to argue – this is a fantastic Italian white.

93 Points, James Suckling
A complex wine with flowery tuberose aromas, yellow grapefruit and winter melon. Bright definition. Medium-bodied, it shines with finesse and close-knit structure, lemony acidity and a zesty finish, tight yet balanced. Drink or hold.

Cantina Valle Isarco is one of the most respected cooperative wineries in Italy’s Alto Adige region, located in the Valle Isarco, one of the northernmost areas in the entire country. This region is characterized by steep, sun-drenched slopes and significant temperature variations between day and night, thanks to the high altitude of the vineyards, which can reach up to 1,000 meters.

These cool-climate conditions are perfectly suited for growing crisp, aromatic white grapes, making the Cantina a specialist in these varieties. The cooperative model unites many small growers, allowing them to pool resources and expertise to produce consistently high-quality wines that authentically express the rugged mountain terroir.
