I have been very selective in the Prosecco Roses I’ve offered up to this point – just one- and it was Lettie Teague’s #1 out of 14 tasted from her report last year in the Wall Street Journal. Only the best for you guys.
Of course, that wine, the Bisol Jeio, is available in the store. But this newest release certainly gives that one a run for the roses, if you will.
A sexy package with a great label leads you off before you’re swooned by a mix of citrus, white peach, and turkish apricots. On the palate, you’re hit with a refreshing sweet and sour combination with incredibly tiny, salty bubbles. This one is a beauty – the definition of a crowd pleaser.
Vinous Media got a hold of it and gave it their highest rating for the category of the vintage, a 91-point score for a wine they deemed, “incredibly pretty and highly likable”. This is going to be the go-to for Melissa this year, I can already tell. If you love bubbles, refreshing pink wines, porch pounders, pool sippers, whatever you call these babies, this one is 100% for you.

91 Points, James Suckling
The Bisol “Jeio” Prosecco NV is a delicious sparkler that comes from the Veneto region of northeast Italy. A brilliant straw yellow color, the first sip is an intense and fresh nose of citrus fruits and saline sensations. If you love fruit forward sparklers… this one is for you.
The 2022 is a stunning example of this wine despite this year’s tiny allocation. With such a small amount of fruit used, this is always so deeply concentrated and energetic. Both its aromas and flavors seem to echo the layered soils in which its grown – presenting their own continuously evolving strata of mint, ginger, anise, and stone fruit.
90 Points, Vinous
As of late, the duo is making some of the very best Pink wines in all of France, maybe even the world. Certainly, there’s no one right now producing greater values than what the Bielers are able to create. Take their 2021 Provence Rose as a perfect example: a lights out, bone-dry yet succulent, food-friendly treat that continues the trends of 90+ point reviews. The late, great Josh Raynolds of Vinous gave this one 90 points, calling the wine “juicy, focused, and energetic on the palate.” A perfect summarization.
Fresh off a huge feature in The Wall Street Journal in which they were crowned as the top Prosecco Rose in a lineup of 14, I suspect what was once our little secret will explode. James Suckling also finally got around to tasting it and gave it 91 points. I’d rate it even higher. The 2021 Bisol Jeio Brut Prosecco Rosé is remarkable, and simply put, mouth-wateringly delicious. Inviting aromas of flowers and wild strawberries, with a complex mouthfeel that sings with citrus fruits and creaminess from the tiny crisp bubbles.
