Michael Broadbent set up Christie’s wine department in 1966, established Christie’s Wine Auctions, and together with Robert Mondavi, held the first-ever Napa Valley Wine Auction. His son Bartholomew has continued that legacy, spending decades building relationships with California’s North Coast growers.
