For over 100 years, Beaulieu Vineyard has been one of the benchmark premium Napa Cabernet producers. They’re meticulous in their process, have an absolutely insane state-of-the art production facility and traditional minimalist vineyard practices that have been perfected over the decades into an exact science. They built this reputation slowly and carefully- earning every accolade you can think of along the way. Rarely has any wine been added or subtracted from the BV portfolio – what you see is what you get, and it’s usually fantastic.

But every once in a while, an old dog learns a new trick- or in this case, an unexpectedly generous and outstanding vintage comes along, and you decide the fruit you have in tank needs its own bottling. That’s pretty special.

In 2018, Beaulieu Vineyard made their first ever BV Rutherford Reserve Cabernet. Feeling like they had no choice but to put into its own package their finest expression of Rutherford fruit to date, this is a spectacular bottling that has made the rash decision to make a Reserve seem like the absolute correct call.
