Alois Lageder is easily one of Alto Adige’s most respected producers. They’re known for being at the forefront of biodynamic farming with wines that express a real sense of place. Their estate wines are incredible but also a little expensive. So in the mid-1990s, they launched Riff to do something unique at the time: offer approachable, affordable wines that still reflect Lageder’s focus on quality and balance. The key? They don’t use their premium Alto Adige fruit. They work with trusted growers in the Veneto region of Delle Venezie instead. That’s what allows them to hit this price without cutting a single corner.
