Bichot’s minimal intervention approach shines brilliantly in their “Origines” cuvée, crafted from several plots with calcareous clay soils at varying exposures and altitudes. This diversity, combined with meticulous vinification and aging, creates a Chardonnay that brilliantly balances aromatic complexity, freshness, and rounded texture. And yet, even with a little richness and roundness in the palate, this one stays incredibly light on its feet.

In the glass, you’ll find classic notes of green apple, white peach, and citrus, complemented by subtle hints of hazelnut and crushed almond. The palate displays remarkable precision and energy, with vibrant acidity providing structure to the generous fruit core. The finish is clean and mineral-driven – a hallmark of proper White Burgundy at twice or three times this price.
