This is an amazing winery in the Mosel-Saar region of Germany that’s being run by the grandson of the last Baron von Heddesdorff. The von Heddesdroff family has grown Riesling on super steep, terraced slopes in Mosel for nearly six centuries now and they are completely dialed in to their growing methods.
Their vineyards actually represent some of the steepest in all of Germany, making this labor of love one that not everyone could do. The wines are all vinified in tank with indigeneous yeasts that help preserve all the aromatics and stone fruit flavors as well as the zesty acidity.
