The Wine
Denner Wines was first founded in 1997 in Paso Robles with its first vintage in 2005. They have become a true California Cult winery in a flash, known for blending unique expressions that combine California concentration with structural elegance. Vinous called them “one of the area’s iconic wineries…Among the very best in California”. Somehow, that might not be a strong enough endorsement. These are some of the best domestic wines I have tasted in a very long time.

Turley’s new Steacy Ranch is absolutely sensational. I think it hits above its 92-point review from Parker’s Wine Advocate, but that’s just me. It’s such an intricate single-vineyard wine that comes from vines that were first planted in 1907!!! This is not your every-day Zin in any way shape or form. It’s layered and elegant and a sophisticated Big Red that demands a place in the cellar.
