Recently, Oregon Winemaker Anne Sery has been on a tear with her Trousse Chemise brand. Landing top by-the-glass placements throughout NYC (Bar Boulud, Daniel, Chinese Tuxedo, Lure Fishbar, the Mandarin Oriental, Chef Carmellini’s The Dutch, Little Park, and the Westlight).
In a crazy 2020 vintage for a number of reasons, Anne was able to tap into some new fruit sources in Southern Oregon that bring juiciness and depth to her first ever, Rosé, a Rosé of Pinot Noir. It has a shimmering, brilliant pink color. It’s bright and energetic on the nose, displaying fresh wild strawberry and pink grapefruit scents. Dry and racy on the palate, it offers brisk red berry and citrus rind flavors with great lift and tension. The finish is long, with incredible food friendly acidity. This one will drink fast!

Crated from the wonderful estate just outside of Florence in Tuscany, Corzano e Paterno once again churned out an incredibly special and delicate Rosato of Sangiovese. This is easy sippin’, harmonious, food friendly Rose that has the backbone to stand up to fresh pizza. The Rosato is a seriously sophisticated blend that offers more savory than sweet notes. It’s an absolute treat to drink now and will continue to drink well for a few years at least.
This is what happens when you combine the Caymus Family’s unparalleled winemaking prowess with one of the greatest Oregon vintages in its wine history. The 2020 Elouan Oregon Pinot Noir is juiced up with vibrant flavors of raspberry, cranberries, baked cherry pie and a hint of earth. It’s packed with crushed red fruits and finishes with soft, refined tannins that leave a great aftertaste. It’s a great choice any time of the year– delicious by itself or paired with just about anything.

“Kosta Browne is taking great care of this former Saintsbury vineyard source. A brilliant vein of black cherries and sour cherries weaves through black tea, redwood duff and subtle oak spices in this medium- to full-bodied wine, as dazzling acidity and moderate tannins energize the palate. Great balance and impressive depth make it stand out. Best from 2025.” -Wine Enthusiast
Anne’s Trousse DDL Vineyard Pinot is absolutely sensational. She couldn’t have asked for a better vintage than 2021 to kick off her inaugural annual release, a tiny by monumental Single-Vineyard project that I believe will catapult her reputation even further into rarified air. Working in a vineyard that has become like a backyard, she’s able to create such a gorgeous, dark-fruited, rich, and earthy Pinot with a velvety chocolate finish that seals the deal like a chef’s kiss.
