This baby was made at over 600 feet elevation less than three miles from the ocean so there is a very strong maritime effect on this vineyard. We’re talking a single-vineyard Pinot Noir gem from what was a fantastic 2018 vintage in California that is only just starting to enter its drinking prime. I didn’t manage to get enough of these bottles to ever offer up, but whoever finds these are going to be a very happy camper. It’s fantastic. It’s the kind of Burgundian Pinot that makes you rethink what California can do when they don’t chase such big expressions and focus more on precision and balance.
