The elevation and exposure here are what makes this site so special. This high-altitude, North to East-facing plot sits on intensely calcareous soil that produces some of the most complex, mineral-driven Pinot Noir you can find anywhere.
It’s actually the coolest part of the entire vineyard, where the grapes are among the last to ripen in Vosne – and that’s exactly what gives us this incredibly deep yet pure expression. Here’s the fascinating part: decades ago, you couldn’t even ripen Pinot Noir here – it was simply too cold. But with today’s climate, this once-marginal site has become an absolute sweet spot for producing some of the most profound, age-worthy Pinot Noir in the entire world.
