The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

The Mascot is a blend of Harlan, Bond and Promontory barrels, 100% pure Cabernet Sauvignon from some of the most spectacular vineyards in the Napa Valley. Is it expensive? Hell, yes, at $165, it’s a Saturday nighter for sure. But when you consider Harlan Estate goes for about $1100 a bottle and Bond and Promontory come in around $700, and both of them received perfect 100-point scores the previous vintage from multiple reviewers, then the Mascot almost looks like a Tuesday nighter. The 2018 was a huge vintage for Will Harlan with a few 100-point scores and more importantly, some of his greatest bottlings to date. Lucky for us, Will never submits this great wine for scoring, because otherwise it would probably cost three times more and would be even harder than it already is to secure.

This is one of those vintages where the very best winemakers make truly age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignons to be enjoyed for decades to come.
