Talbott Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Talbott is one of California’s premier wineries. The secret in their arsenal is their famous estate vineyard, Sleepy Hollow, one of Santa Lucia Highlands oldest, most well- respected and coldest temperature spots in the region. It was deemed a ‘Grand Cru’ California vineyard by Wine Enthusiast and it’s also the vineyard source for Talbott’s perfect 100-point review from Wine Spectator some years ago.

Their 2018 vintage Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Pinot Noir is a particular high note, racking up some big scores along the way. This one was given 92 points from Spectator who called it “elegant” to go with double 93-point reviews from James Suckling and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. The former called it “juicy, ripe and flavorful”. It’s an incredibly fruit friendly Pinot Noir that is just entering its drinking prime. Not to be missed!

Original price was: $50.00.Current price is: $32.00.

The flagship Pinot Noir of Talbott Estate is cut off their famed Sleepy Hollow Vineyard deemed a ‘Grand Cru California Vineyard’ by Wine Enthusiast. The 2018 edition is drinking so well right now. It offers up seductive aromas of baking spices, red and black fruits, cola and a hint of oak with black cherry, raspberry and nutmeg on the mid to full-bodied mouthfeel. This has a sleek elegance to it and a dash of mineral vibrancy that rings throughout. The finish is silky smooth and memorable. This is quintessential Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot.
