Chateau Peyrassol Cotes de Provence Rosé 2021 (1 btl)
An extremely concentrated and energetic Rosé with zesty citrusy flavors that dance on the palate. Perfect harmony and structure with a dry backbone that lays the foundation for a wonderful aftertaste with remnants of bing cherries, nectarines and mango yogurt along with a refreshingly piercing acidity to round it out.
Clos Julien Rosé of Pinot Noir Arroyo Grande 2021 (1 btl)
This single-vineyard is perfectly poised on a steep hillside benefiting from cool breezes, natural drainage, yet still raking in that precious sunshine. It’s the perfect formula for a perfectly balanced, food friendly wine. Juicy and fresh on the palate, offering wild strawberry and citrus rind flavors that deepen and spread out on the back half. A long, focused and bone-dry finish shows amazing energy– this one is a crowd-pleaser for sure.
Chateau Miraval Cotes du Provence 2020 (1 btl)
The winery made famous by Brad Pitt and Angelina is more famous in the wine world for their fleet of top Provencal Roses made by none other than superstar winemaker Marc Perrin, who has countless times turned the wine world on its head with his 100-point Chateauneuf du Papes at Chateau de Beaucastel. His 2020 Miraval Rose improves on an already impressive legacy with a beautiful salmon color, juicy notes of macerated cherries, strawberry currants, citrus and a lemon zest.
Fabre Montmayou Rose of Malbec Mendoza 2020 (1 btl)
Herve Fabre for the first time ever adds a Rose of Malbec to his impressive arsenal. It’s a great wine– with a standout vibrant ruby/pink color, inviting aromas of strawberries and raspberries with hints of citrus. This is a crisp, well-balanced wine that is a wonderful expression of the varietal and the winemaker, a ton of fun to pair with food . Haven’t had many Roses like it. It’s a really cool wine that if you’re a fan of Herve’s you’re going to love.
Feudo Montoni Nerello Mascalese di Adele Rosato 2020 (1 btl)
“The 2020 Nerello Mascalese Rosé di Adele keeps you at the edge of the glass with a delicate yet stunning bouquet of ripe peach laced with candied ginger and a dusting of sweet spice. Its textures are fleshy, yet the expression is lifted and spry, with a vivid display of freshly sliced pear, while drenched in minerals and motivated by lively acidity.”
Paltrinieri Radice Lambrusco di Sorbara 2020 (1 btl)
“One of the best Lambruscos out there, this delicious, vibrant wine opens with enticing scents of wild red berry, yellow stone fruit, citrus blossom and a yeasty, comforting whiff of pastry dough. Made by carrying out the secondary fermentation in the bottle, the dry, delicious palate delivers pink grapefruit, crushed strawberry and tangerine alongside crisp acidity and a saline note.”

90 Points, Vinous
As of late, the duo is making some of the very best Pink wines in all of France, maybe even the world. Certainly, there’s no one right now producing greater values than what the Bielers are able to create. Take their 2021 Provence Rose as a perfect example: a lights out, bone-dry yet succulent, food-friendly treat that continues the trends of 90+ point reviews. The late, great Josh Raynolds of Vinous gave this one 90 points, calling the wine “juicy, focused, and energetic on the palate.” A perfect summarization.
The newly released 2022 Brunori ‘Le Gemme’ Verdichio is everything you’re looking for in a vibrant, food-friendly white wine. About a billion times better than every-day Pinot Grigio, the Brunori is an electric, vibrant white which combines delicious fruit and vibrancy with boasts a killer nose of white peach, honeycomb and almonds. The fruit is wonderfully concentrated with a salty, stony finish that goes forever. The best part of this beauty is that it’s not just a summer wine- it’s absolutely delicious year round.
Winemaker Pascal Sirat consistently puts out some of the best value Bordeaux in the region but he may have outdone himself in what was a stellar 2019 vintage throughout the region. Just south of Pomerol, the vines at Panchille borrow deep in the soil. The resulting wines are ripe but fresh, with an aromatic complexity and stony finish usually reserved for wine twice the price. Daniel Boulud tells me it’s been the hottest bottle of wine at Bar Boulud for over a month, so I figured I’d better hurry up and secure my allocation! Don’t miss it.
Fresh off its feature as one of Wine Spectator’s ‘Exciting California Values Under $25’, winemaker Matt Cline looks to stay hot with his release of the 2019 Contra Costa Zinfandel. This one is a beauty crafted off old-vines that are now between 110-140 years in age. There’s a ton of darker fruits that drive this one with a dusting of baking spice. The fruit is pure, fresh and long making it both delicious on its own or terrific with a burger, BBQ ribs, or grilled leg of lamb. Crazy cheap for what is in the bottle, load up!
