Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2020

There’s so much to say about Silver Oak. They are one of Napa’s original cult producers. Their wines, which have been around since 1972 are true testaments to the art of winemaking and they’re perfectly located right between the Silverado Trail and Oakville. They have always marched to the beat of their own drum, being one of the first in Napa to make a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon bottling and choosing to age their Napa Valley Cab in only new American oak barrels with about 20 months spent in bottle after the 25 months in first spends in barrels.

Their commitment to excellence, innovation and the land in which they work is unmatched. In 2016, Silver Oak’s Oakville winery became the world’s first production winery to be granted LEED Platinum Certification – the highest level granted by the U.S. Green Building Council. They use zero toxic materials, solar panels, pure, filtered air and salvaged redwood siding from old 1930s wine tanks in their winemaking approach. It’s this level of attention to detail that sets them apart.
