Sazerac Rye Straight Rye Whiskey (90 Proof)

The Sazerac is always a fun Whiskey from Buffalo Trace, makers of the beloved Pappy Van Winkle and recipients of the 2022 American Distiller of the Year award. It’s referred to as the “New Orleans Original” as Rye whiskey was poured in saloons in the Big Easy dating back to the 1800’s that were labeled as coffee houses to remain incognito during prohibition.

The Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street served toddies that were made with Rye Whiskey and Peychaud’s Bitters and became known as “The Sazerac.” This was America’s first branded cocktail and this is the Rye Whiskey that started it all. It also happens to be 100% unbeatable for the price.
