Robert Mondavi Winery was founded in 1966 by winemaking pioneer and absolute legend Robert Mondavi. His vision was to create Napa Valley wines that could stand up and even surpass the world’s finest wines. His was the first major winery built in Napa Valley in the three decades following the repeal of Prohibition and the one that most everyone has been chasing since.

James Suckling gave this one 92 points and called out the full-body, something you wouldn’t expect to see for a wine at this price point from Napa Valley. Few folks can make a better value Chardonnay than Robert Mondavi, which is a truly iconic Napa Valley producer. This is quintessential Napa Chard at a steal.

An abundance of ripe stone and tropical fruit on the nose. It’s full-bodied with aromas and flavors of mango, yellow peach, salted butter and powdered praline. Lightly smoky with a crisp finish. Drink or hold.

This is quintessential Napa Valley Chard with some lemon cream, pineapple and guava layers with a little bit of that creamy, buttery middle and a hint of toast to compliment a really crisp finish.
