It comes bristling with energy, nuance, juicy fruit, and a mouthwatering mineral backbone. As always with these wines, it is expertly made with lemon, honeysuckle and stone fruit aromatics leading to a full-bodied, juicy core, loaded with flavors of white peach, citrus zest, fresh pineapple, and Asian pear.

Les Noisetiers, surrounds the Kistler winery on the Sonoma Coast. The new 2022 release has just been released and it it already showing beautifully. I guess that shouldn’t come as a surprise since it is the master Steve Kistler, and the early returns from 2022, is that it was a really strong vintage throughout California and especially Sonoma Coast.

This one comes tightly wound with precision and slowly unfurls layers of nuance, juicy fruit and a mouthwatering mineral backbone. As always with these wines, every note is intense and pure. Flavors of lemon, honeysuckle and stone fruit aromatics lead to a full bodied, juicy core that is just loaded with flavors of peach and apricots with great acidity and that mineral backbone that ties it all together.
