Produttori del Barbaresco is one of the most celebrated cooperatives in the world and one of the greatest values in all of fine wine. Founded in 1958 by a group of local Barbaresco growers who refused to sell their precious fruit to big négociants, they farm nine of the greatest Nebbiolo crus in the entire appellation: Asili, Rabajà, Montestefano, Ovello, Pora, Moccagatta, Pajè, Montefico, and Rio Sordo. Their single-vineyard Riservas routinely score 96+ points and are considered among the finest expressions of Nebbiolo on the planet. But despite all of that, their cooperative structure keeps prices remarkably honest compared to single-estate giants like Gaja or Bruno Giacosa. This is a Barbaresco for the people!
