Carey Bringle is the self-proclaimed ‘Peg Leg Porker’ – a BBQ Pit Master who has earned immense fame in and out of Tennessee for his BBQ prowess. This is his go-to that is almost never available and I have it just in time. This beauty is aged for approximately 4 to 6 years and bottled at a robust “Full Proof” of around 120 (60% ABV). It delivers quite the punch from the very first sip. It brings you wave after of wave of nuanced smoky flavors with burnt orange peel, roasted peanuts, caramel, and toasted oak mixed with sweet notes of syrup and cocoa with a memorable finish that reminds me a little bit of freshly baked apple pie. This comes in at 60% alc. but is so balanced and smooth that you never feel that warm Tennessee heat.

Without a single co-worker or dollar in backing, he began buying up barrels of Tennessee Whiskey from around the state, aging him in a production facility and then finishing and bottling them. But here’s where it gets even better.
He actually invented a new filtration process for the juice. He puts it through the filtration process three times too – emparting a wonderful unmatched smokiness and tanginess to his Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This is a delicious, super-flavorful Tennessee Whiskey. He doesn’t say what facility this is made at but it has to be George Dickel. The quality here is absolutely fantastic.
