In 1870, George Garvin Brown changed the spirits industry forever when he sealed and sold his whisky – Old Forester – exclusively in a glass bottle. Each bottle was adorned with his signature, a personal guarantee of the brand’s quality and consistency. Today, 150 years later, Old Forester announces the upcoming release of Old Forester 150th Anniversary Bourbon to commemorate his act of ingenuity, honor his legacy and celebrate the history of the First Bottled Bourbon.
There were 3 batches made for this historic, one-time bottling. This is one bottle of the last batch, Batch #3. It’s a monster that the whiskey world is gaga about, and I can certainly understand why. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that it was bottled at 126.8 Proof! A little bet less fruit driven, more spices and caramelized sugar aromas here, all of which are very exciting. The heat is there but it’s hidden well, behind some creamy butterscotch, dark chocolate and rye spice. Of course on the finish of a monster that is 63.4% you’re gonna have a little heat, but it’s so smooth and dull that it’s the kind of burn you welcome. This is a gem of a collector’s item for whoever snags this one up!

When my yearly allocation came in for W.L. Weller, I was pleased to find out that I was granted a few ‘bonus bottles’ by the powers that be. Hey, you know I’m not arguing. I only got a few more the Single Barrel, 12-Year and the Antique so I decided to put those into 3-packs and sell those as well. Get in while you can, I only have three. Each 3-pack sampler includes 1 bottle each of the following:
Weller Single Barrel (orange)
Weller 12 year (black)
Old Weller Antique (red)

The Don Fulano Blanco is a super lively, refreshing Tequila with a beautiful clear hue. It’s both floral and spicy with a little bit of grilled pineapple, dried mango and grassy aromas. It’s very smooth and dry yet still has good tropical fruit that comes through and plays nicely with a hint of minerality, white pepper and a slight citrus ending.
True whiskey and Knob Creek enthusiasts are going to go nuts for this one. Knob Creek Rye is as outstanding as it is rare but today we’re lucky enough to bring to you, my own single barrel of it. This is a big gold expression of Rye that holds nothing back. On the nose, there are hints of dill, rye and essence of charred oak. On the palate, you are hit over the head with baking spice, honey and freshly baked bread. The finish is certainly a warm “Kentucky Hug” that goes on forever.

“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Bello is a more Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, and the balance Cabernet Franc, all hitting 13.7% alcohol. As usual, it was aged in new American oak. It shows the higher Cabernet component and is deep purple-hued and tight and closed, with a primordial vibe to its dark blue and black fruit, smoked tobacco, vanilla bean, graphite, and cedarwood aromatics. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has terrific overall balance, building, ripe tannins, a good sense of freshness, and outstanding length. It reminds me slightly of the 2018 with its more elegant, streamlined profile, but I expect this to build with bottle age, and it should have 2-3 decades of overall longevity.” – Jeb Dunnuck
