Nicholas Wines Gobbler Case 2024

*Not Eligible for Further Discount – Already at its Lowest Allowed Price*

Thanksgiving is the type of occasion that is infinitely improved by having great wines on the table. This year, I have you covered in a big way. We found a number of absolute gems – some extremely highly rated, all great values and perfect for Turkey day. The value here is just absurd. We discounted the case 52% (the most ever) from its original SRP. That’s a slamming deal – and our biggest discount ever!

Four very different wines (three bottles each) that all bring something different to the table, but should be big hits with everyone. All offered up a great price that amounts for big savings!

The 2024 Gobbler Case Includes:

(3) Castello di Bossi Chianti Classico 2021 (93 points, Wine Spectator – 92 Points, James Suckling)
Castello di Bossi’s Chianti Classico always represents one of the very best values in all of Tuscany. But this year, they took their value to never before seen heights. Both James Suckling and the Wine Spectator awarded the wine at least 92-point scores, with the latter actually giving a rare 93-point score for a wine in this range. The 2021 CC from Castello di Bossi is absolutely singing right now. It shows all the hallmarks of Castello di Bossi’s signature style – that perfect balance of power and elegance with high-toned fruit, food-friendliness and approachability for days.

(3) Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2022 (94 Points, Tasting Panel)
Quilt is arguably our most popular wine each year and it can be found for $45 or more in the store… or – for an absolute steal, you can get it as part of this year’s Gobbler Case. It comes from the Wagner Family of Caymus fame and features delicious Cabernet fruit from Oakville, St. Helena, Coombsville, Atlas Peak, Calistoga and Howell Mountain. Pretty insane and with a big score this year, it’s like stealing!

(3) Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs 2021 (95 Points, Wine Enthusiast – 93 Points, Wine Spectator)
I have this gorgeous new Sparkler from one of America’s greatest Sparkling houses and this one is going to blow people away. This 100% Chardonnay is an elegant, racy Sparkling wine that is going to steal the show. It comes in a beautiful package and hits with so much lively fruit notes, aided by some nuttier, almond notes and a tremendous acidity. This one comes as highly rated as you’ll see an under-$50 Sparkler in any country — Wine Enthusiast told their readers, “I hope you pick up a bottle to enjoy.” This is a show-stopping bottle.

(3) Chamisal Vineyards San Luis Obispo Pinot Noir 2022 (90pts, Editors’ Choice, Wine Enthusiast, 90 pts, James Suckling)
The Chamisal Vineyards Pinot Noir is roaring with energy – a beautiful wine with a symphony of red berry flavors, cherry, strawberry and even some rhubarb. Wine Enthusiast couldn’t get enough – they gave it their coveted Editors’ Choice designation and a 90-point score. Ditto for James Suckling who called it “dense and velvety with a generous core of berries and spices into the finish.” It’s been a while since we’ve been able to offer a Chamisal Pinot, but every time you go back, you’re reminded just how good of a wine it is.

Original price was: $459.00.Current price is: $220.00.

**A second (and third) change has been made. I feel like a hockey coach!**

Man – these samplers are flying! The original Gobblers with our single-vineyard Prosecco from Bisol SOLD OUT. Then we replaced with it with our 95-point homerun Blanc de Blancs bottling from Schramsberg (still in the Gobbler Case.) That’s the same one that Wine Enthusiast told their readers, “I hope you pick up a bottle to enjoy.” What a sparkler! People loved that substitution – so hopefully they won’t mind that TWO MORE SELLOUTS(!) means I have to make two more changes.

I am completely sold out on the 2023 Schug Pinot Noir but do not fret – I replaced it with a double 90-point Editors’ Choice Pinot Noir courtesy of fan-favorite Chamisal – from the super-hot SLO Coast, a wine that Wine Enthusiast calls “A very satisfying Pinot Noir” with “bouncy acidity that elevates crisp red fruit flavors”.

I also had to replace the 93-point Clos Ancestral Red from the formidable Torres Family. I knew that I had to come up with something special to replace such a highly rated silky Red, so I went for the 93/92-point HOME RUN Chianti Classico from Castello di Bossi.  And to complete the lineup – the never-before-offered 2022 Quilt Napa Valley Cabernet (94 points!) that’s going to absolutely steal the show. A little something for every palate!

Two more insanely good wines for the same insane price tag. What else do you expect?!?
