Monte Antico Toscana Bianco 2024

94 Points, Luca Maroni – 90 Points (Best Buy), Wine Enthusiast 90 Points, James Suckling

The 2024 Monte Antico Bianco is totally different than most of the white wines you’re going to find throughout Tuscany, and I love that about it. It’s a racy blend of Malvasia, Vermentino, and Trebbiano that brings together peach and tropical fruit, coastal saltiness, and bright lemon zest acidity seamlessly. Wine Enthusiast gave it 90 points and a Best Buy designation, calling out “ginger, white florals, and papaya on the nose with almond skin and citrus on the palate.” Suckling came in at 90 points calling it “medium-bodied and creamy with fresh acidity.” And Italian critic Luca Maroni took it a few steps further, giving this beauty 94 points. This is a serious Italian white at a price that makes no sense whatsoever!

This is so juicy and delicious – almost too easy to drink. Great with food and versatile for different occasions and discerning palates. Medium-bodied and silky with dark cherry, leather, spices, soft tannins, and balanced structure. A pizza wine that punches far above its price tag.

Original price was: $18.00.Current price is: $14.00.

“Ginger, white florals, and papaya show on the nose. Almond skin, and citrus work well together on the palate as fresh acidity rushes through at the end of each sip.”

90 Points, James Suckling
This white has both herbal and smoky undertones to the aromas of lime peel, smoked almonds and vanilla. It’s medium-bodied and creamy with fresh acidity. Vegan. Drink now. Screw cap.

This incredible Italian value comes courtesy of Franco Bernabei, one of Italy’s most respected consultants, in collaboration with Neil Empson. Bernabei has three generations of his family in wine and serves as consultant for some of the most prestigious estates in Italy—Folonari, Felsina, Fontodi, Sartori, and Guicciardini Strozzi. When his name is attached to a wine, you pay attention.

Their 2024 Bianco is something special and fairly unique: it’s a racy blend of Malvasia, Vermentino, and Trebbiano that brings together peach and tropical fruit, coastal saltiness, and bright lemon zest acidity.
