Impressively intricate but still harmonious, this is a fine example of the trend toward increasing complexity in California Sauvignon Blanc. The use of multiple clones (plus a 3% dash of Sémillon) and a variety of vessels for fermentation and aging results in an interesting mix of aromas and flavors of pear, melon, and citrus, with hints of dried herbs and wildflowers.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County is a pale silver/green hue and includes the small addition of 3% Semillon, with 13% of the wine fermented in old French oak. It shows off lifted aromas of white grapefruit zest, piney fresh herbs, white currants, and saline. Midweight and refined, it floats on the palate and has a delicate floral touch, with fresh acidity.

Exuberant and refreshing, featuring juicy Fuji apple, peach and ripe melon flavors that complement the core of lemon and pomelo notes. Touches of fresh grated ginger and vetiver linger with green tea notes on the finish. Drink now.
