93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
This big but balanced wine is packed with vivid green apple, Bosc pear and Danish pastry flavors on a full body and creamy texture. An element of lemon zest and tangy apricot chimes in as you sip, providing a mouthwatering tang.

93 Points, Tasting Panel
Pale straw color, with refined, pronounced aromatics of pear, stone fruit, and vanilla. Ultra-elegant and nuanced yet highly expressive style; ample weight on the palate; and bright underlying acidity with well-integrated, high-quality oak. Seventy- seven percent of the wine was barrel fermented in (15% new) French oak, while the remainder was cool-fermented in stainless steel to lift the brightness of the final blend. Aged on the lees for six months with occasional lees stirring to yield a broader textural component, it also underwent partial malolactic.

First founded in 1987 by Steve MacRostie, this estate is actually the most decorated winery in all of California(!!) since its founding – having now earned more than 500 scores of 90 points or higher from the world’s biggest wine publications. There’s a pretty good reason for all those big scores too.

Their dedication to farming and vineyard health doesn’t just emphatically help their own three Estate vineyards, but it has earned them immense respect throughout the entire state. Steve’s winemaking prowess plus his love for the land, along with winemaker Heidi Bridenhagen has blossomed amazing relationships with other elite winegrowers, families like the Duttons, Marttinellis and Sangiacomos.
