Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

96 Points, Tasting Panel – 94 Points, James Suckling

This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon and unsurprisingly the critics loved it. Tasting Panel came in at 96 points, calling it “St. Julien style with that California glow” with “silky tannins and bright acidity” that shine with inherent approachability. James Suckling came in at 94 points, describing the palate as “incredibly silky and complete” – “a very pretty cabernet that is wonderful now and will reveal more with time.”

Jordan’s winemaker, Maggie Kruse described her 2021 bottling as an “Old-World-style vintage” with “lower alcohol but so much poise and elegance.” Thanks to that lower alcohol level, the pure fruit aided by silky tannins and bright acidity really shine through with exceptional approachability.

This is a quintessential Jordan Cabernet – elegant, balanced, and built for both immediate enjoyment and long aging. It’s exactly the kind of wine that made them America’s favorite restaurant for Cabernet in the first place.

96 Points, The Tasting Panel
Thanks to a lower alcohol level than most Napa Cabs, the silky tannins and bright acidity are fluid and shine with an inherent approachability. Vivid notes of boysenberry, vanilla cedar, and, and sweet soil are amplified with a surge of saline minerality. St. Julien style with that California glow.

94 Points, James Suckling
The nose is slightly restrained and intriguing, with graphite, dried herbs, black cherries, red cherries, anise and stones. The palate is incredibly silky and complete, with rose petals in the finish. A very pretty cabernet that is wonderful now and will reveal more with time. Drink or hold.
