Four Roses ‘OESO’ Single Barrel Bourbon
Four Roses is totally different from the other distilleries. They use 10 different mash bills (recipes) to make their bourbon. The rickhouses are only 1 story tall so all the barrels age at pretty much the same temperature, meaning the “work” is done in the distillery. Each barrel tastes different depending on the level/temperature of the rickhouse. But this new project goes even beyond their usual rigorous standards.
The Four Roses ‘OESO’ is a total gem that’s been aged for 7-9 years at 100 proof. It offers a delightful blend of ripe red fruits and vanilla, balanced by hints of brown sugar and a subtle rye spice. This particular mashbill and “O” yeast strain yield a mellow, characterful bourbon with a smooth, fruity-spicy finish.
