95 Points, Wine Spectator
“Shows fine depth, from the plum, black cherry, earth and iron flavors — plus a hint of licorice — to its richness and beautifully integrated structure. An essence of ripe, sweet fruit prevails throughout, while the dusty tannins and vivid acidity lend lift on the long aftertaste. Best from 2027 through 2045.”
Fattoria La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino 2020
95 Points, Wine Spectator
Everything at La Fiorita is top-of-the-line, and the results speak for themselves. Natalie Oliveros has a hold of something special. Within in a few years of Natalie taking over, they established themselves as one of the most exciting producers in Montalcino, combining traditional methods with cutting-edge winemaking to create Brunello that shows the full breadth of what Montalcino Sangiovese can do. If you haven’t tried anything from this estate yet, there’s no better place to start. It’s already starting to show it’s beauty, but it has another 20-30 years, ahead of it and it will surly dazzle along the way.

MORE INFO
La Fiorita is run by superstar winemaker Natalie Oliveros, who acquired the estate in 2011 and immediately shifted toward organic viticulture, earning certification in 2019. In 2018, she completed construction of a state-of-the-art two-level gravity-fed winery, designed to preserve the authentic expression of each vineyard independently using 16 concrete tanks(!) Once the wines age properly in French and Slavonian oak botti, Natalie selects them herself to create the perfect harmony in the La Fiorita Brunello blend.
Everything here is top-of-the-line, and the results speak for themselves. La Fiorita has established itself as one of the most exciting producers in Montalcino, combining traditional methods with modern precision to create Brunello that highlights the unique terroir and the full powers of Sangiovese.
