 Unsurprisingly, this was highly rated, earning 92 points from Wine Enthusiast and 90 from Vinous. Wine Enthusiast praised it as “Flavorful and polished with smooth tannins and a fruit-forward, friendly palate.” Vinous called it “compact and juicy… a Rioja that spans traditional and modern styles.” What they’re trying to say is that this is a big, juicy Rioja that will win over a lot of different palates.
Dark ruby-red, beautiful concentration, ripe fruit with toasty vanilla and chocolate from extensive time in barrel. Elegant, emphasizing finesse over power, with smooth tannins and a clean finish. This is one you can drink any time from tomorrow night until probably 2040.
