El Tequileño Reposado Gran Reserva

El Tequileño was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo, a descendant of the historic Cuervo family whose story began royally back in 1758. Spain’s King Fernand VI granted Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo permission to plant agave and the rest, as they say is history. The Salles family still runs the operation today, honoring their founder’s heritage while using unique production methods, including volcanic spring water and a fermentation process that’s influenced by nearby 150-year-old mango trees.

Current master distiller Juan Antonio Salles holds the title of Gran Tequilero from the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry – only four people have ever received this designation. We’re talking about a man who’s dedicated his life to Tequila and given more to the industry than just about everyone. His iconic ‘Gran Reserva’ showcases layers of complexity that can help to create either the world’s most delicious Tequila cocktails or sipped neat with a single cube or a few drops of water.
