Domaine Vincent Ricard Le Petiot 2022

His wines are universally beloved by the Nicholas wine’s clientele. They’re always amazing, though bottlings like ‘Le Petiot’ are never around as much as anybody wants. Many have told me that today’s Petiot is the single best Sauvignon Blanc they’ve ever tasted for less than thirty bucks. Dozens of top sommeliers concur and at last count his wines were on the wine lists of over 36 Michelin-starred restaurants.

From just west of Sancerre, Vincent’s vines are tended organically in flint-laden, calcareous soil which lends a great brightness to the wine. The wine is crisp and aromatic Sauvignon, and is a superb choice for a “cocktail” wine, as an aperitif or to accompany just about anything from sea.
