Loire Valley wines have seen relentless price increases for years, with Sancerre hit hardest. Now, with looming tariffs, Sancerre producers face an existential choice – double down on American partnerships or pivot entirely to European and Asian markets.

Dominique Roger, Sancerre’s hall-of-fame winemaker and longtime friend, chose the former. He’s seeking 5-6 committed partners willing to go all-in with him during this uncertain period. I didn’t hesitate for a second.

For those unfamiliar, Carrou Sancerre Rosé isn’t an afterthought. Dominique specifically planted Pinot Noir on a steep, high-altitude slope in Bué more than 30 years ago, creating what I consider the world’s finest rosé.
