Domaine de Robert Fleurie Cuvee Tradition 2019

Categories ,

Winemaker Patrick Brunet’ tiny Domaine Robert estate consists of 50-60 year old vines, deeply rooted in the granitic soils of Fleurie. 2019 produced concentrated, structured Beaujolais, delicious today but with the bones to improve in the bottle over the next decade. Pretty remarkable for wine that comes in as cheap as it does.

Brunet organically tends 7 HA in Fleurie and Morgon in southern Burgundy. Ancient vines of Gamay rooted in a granitic sand provide for wild aromatics and intense fruit in the finished wine. On the palate, the wine is layered and complex with a core of black and red berry flavors.

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $21.00.

If you like to drink juicy, dark Pinot with a mineral streak, you owe it to yourself to pick up some Beaujolais from a real producer.

Winemaker Patrick Brunet’s tiny Domaine Robert estate consists of 50-60 year old vines, deeply rooted in the granitic soils of Fleurie. In the highly regarded, newly released 2019 vintage, Patrick produced a concentrated, structured Beaujolais that’s roaring out of the gates but with the bones to improve in the bottle over the next decade. This is a fantastic bottle to have around.

It is the perfect wine for that roasted chicken comfort dinner that I feel like cooking almost every night these days.
