From the two winemakers who helped put Cloudy Bay on the map in New Zealand, this wonderful Pinot Noir with some age to it is just hitting its stride. And as you might have guessed, this one came in prior to the increased shipping costs. That’s how we’re able to get today’s price down so low.
Together James Healy and founding viticulturalist Ivan Sutherland show that together with their Sauvignon Blancs they consistently make some of the best wine in the country, beautifully woven, intricate Pinot Noir expressions that smell and taste like their Burgundian rivals. This 95-point beauty is one of the better bottles of NZ Pinot I think you’re going to find right now. Only 20 cases left in the country, grab a few bottles before it’s too late!

This is very convincing, complex and downright impressive pinot noir. The intense aromas of ripe cherries and plums are framed in such intensely attractive oak spice and earthy, sous-bois complexity. The palate has regal, polished and powerful tannin and carries a vibrant core of very attractive, rich dark cherries.
Chad’s 2020 McKinley Springs Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is drop dead gorgeous. Those of you who were lucky to catch our sneak preview when we put it in our Gobbler Case can attest. Dark purple to the rim with aromas of black fruits, violets, creme de cassis and a hint of spice. On the palate, full-bodied, round and juicy with elegance and the gorgeous, pure fruit– red and black currants, blackberries and a touch of sweet tobacco.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild is one of only four First Growth Bordeaux and one of the rarest bottles in the world to get your hands on. In the 2002 vintage, Chateau Lafite Rothschild is one of only a handful of bottles you absolutely need in your cellar. Bordeaux’s most famous critic, American journalist Robert Parker, Jr. called the wine, “A brilliant offering and a candidate for wine of the vintage, this is classic Lafite.” This one is an all-timer, and a Bordeaux collector’s dream.
Winemaker Marjorie Gallet’s Effet Papillon Rouge is a terrific blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignane, harvested from the iron rich soil just outside of Rivesaltes at the base of Pyrenees. This one is a vibrant wine, with aromas of wild black raspberries and sweet spices. The mid palate is rich and velvety, with a core of sweet black fruit that finishes fresh, long and silky. At the price, it’s one of the easier no-brainer case buys we offer.
98+ Points, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 97 Points, James Suckling
“Very deep purple-black in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Nathan Coombs Estate slowly reveals enticing notions of fresh blackberries, wild blueberries and black raspberries with emerging suggestions of cassis, tilled earth, tar and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied, the palate delivers firm, beautifully ripe tannins and tons of tightly wound, muscular black fruits with a whole myriad of savory accents and great tension, finishing with jaw-dropping purity and length. Consider broaching this sleeping giant in 4-5 years and drink it over the next 25 years+.”
