The history of Cakebread includes a few of America’s most important wine pioneers. Jack Cakebread started it all back in 1972. Robert Mondavi was the original enologist with Larry Wara as his consultant. The two had to make the wine at neighbor Keenan winery while they were waiting for their world class winery to be designed and built by William Turnbull. How’s that for star power? 

For the first time ever, I have both the family’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay at the same time. I don’t know if this is a 50th anniversary thing with the winery or not or a thank you for our decades of support, but it’s always clutch to secure an allocation from such a famous operation. Each mixed six-pack includes 3 bottles each of the following:
